Roshitah Tele-pharmacy was built on the principal of helping people. The idea started within a small group of people who shared the same principle, then it spread to bring the like-minded together which contributed in bringing to life one of the most altruistic values of the Sudanese society. Our team is always striving to provide the best service and developing the most creative, economic and efficient solutions in a transparent, professional, and the most probity of ways.
Roshitah Tele-pharmacy was founded in April 2020 in The Republic of Sudan by a group of young volunteers living in and outside of Sudan. Roshitah is a social media based service with the goal of delivering medications to the people during these challenging times of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Medications have become scarce and hard to obtain with the lock down and curfew policies, so the need for a simple and efficient service like Roshitah has arisen. All Roshitah asks for is the prescription or the name of the medicine, recipient name, and their phone number.
We have a social media team that provides information and interacts with the patients online. We have a mobile application under preparation and it will be providing the following services:
The initiative provides free medicine to support limited or no income categories in society through two services
Free medicines are available to those who are desperate, through the citizens ’donation of surplus medicines, taking into account the conditions of preservation and validity, and the presence of a prescription for the person in need. The initiative is not concerned with medicines classified as narcotic substances
The service of providing medicines for chronic diseases free of charge in a paper box classified according to the type of disease provided on a monthly basis to needy groups in society after making sure that there is a prescription in the name of the patient.
